Hardware Support Technician

At Claviate, we have developed a revolutionary data platform built around advanced AI cameras deployed worldwide. Our solution creates transparency by supporting the installation and documentation of wind turbines – both offshore and onshore – where high system reliability is essential. We are therefore looking for a Hardware Support Technician with a strong technical background and a systematic mindset to help monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our systems – ensuring everything runs smoothly across the globe.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain, service, and improve our hardware equipment
- Create and update hardware documentation and inventory
- Monitor our hardware dashboard, identify and resolve issues with offline or abnormal devices
- Communicate with customers and coordinate remote troubleshooting
- Write service reports, technical notes, and instruction guides
- Install and service equipment onsite with customers (occasional travel)
- Prepare and configure hardware for shipment to new customers
- Support student assistants with technical and logistical tasks
We’re looking for someone with:
- Hands-on experience with hardware and electronics
- A structured, systematic approach to troubleshooting
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken), especially with customers
- Experience in handling, reading and editing technical documentation
- Basic IT and networking knowledge (remote access, error logs, connectivity testing etc.)
- Ability to balance hands-on work with remote support and monitoring
- A proactive attitude and ownership when things don’t go as planned
It’s a plus if you also have:
- Education or experience as an Electrician or Automation Technician
- Basic Ubuntu/Linux administration (CLI, logs, networking tools)
- Onsite service or fieldwork experience
- Flexibility on working hours when onsite work is required
